Physicien de formation, et joueur de billard par passion, il s\u2019est naturellement lanc\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un simulateur dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9couvert la th\u00e8se de Coriolis par hasard dans une librairie. Depuis, il n\u2019 a cess\u00e9 de s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 cette question, en am\u00e9liorant son mod\u00e8le de simulation, effectuant des mesures, des calculs, v\u00e9rifiant ses hypoth\u00e8ses, ce qui \u00e9tait possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son bon niveau de joueur aux jeux de s\u00e9rie.\u00a0<br>Ces \u00e9tudes se sont concr\u00e9tis\u00e9es dans un premier temps avec \u00ab\u00a0Canal+ Classic Billard\u00a0\u00bb, un jeu video \u00e9dit\u00e9 en 1999. Puis il a fourni \u00e0 Kozoom le simulateur 2D qui a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 sur ce site.<\/strong><br><strong>Mais n\u2019\u00e9tant pas pleinement satisfait de ce mod\u00e8le, pourtant d\u00e9j\u00e0 assez r\u00e9aliste, il a enti\u00e8rement revu ses \u00e9quations et a travaill\u00e9 plusieurs ann\u00e9es pour parvenir \u00e0 la version actuelle, utilis\u00e9e dans Caromball, et qui constitue le meilleur simulateur de billard carambole disponible dans le monde, recommand\u00e9 d\u2019ailleurs par l\u2019UMB.<br>Non content de ces r\u00e9sultats, JM a mis au point un outil d\u2019intelligence artificielle (sans utiliser d\u2019outils externes) qui s\u2019est concr\u00e9tis\u00e9 par un robot tr\u00e8s efficace, disponible dans Caromball, qui donne des conseils avis\u00e9s et permettant \u00e0 tout un chacun de jouer des parties int\u00e9ressantes contre l\u2019ordinateur, avec un temps de r\u00e9ponse tr\u00e8s court.<br>Avec l\u2019aide de son fils Julien, d\u00e9veloppeur informatique de m\u00e9tier, JM a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 Caromball, un logiciel tr\u00e8s performant, tr\u00e8s ergonomique et utile pour qui veut apprendre et comprendre le billard carambole, ce qui a demand\u00e9 deux ans de travail pour une premi\u00e8re version. Nul doute que ce travail fera date et que Caromball, disponible en 6 langues, restera encore longtemps la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de la simulation de billard carambole.\u00a0<br>JM est aujourd\u2019hui retrait\u00e9 et r\u00e9alise des videos p\u00e9dagogiques gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Caromball, partageant ses connaissances acquises gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la physique.
